Honestly, I thought LED stripes were purely aesthetics. But now that I read it this way, it can help your eye strain from working in front of the computer for a long time.

Yes, some LED strips are just for looks. But if you stick to 6500K lighting, your eyes will feel better in the long run. Thanks, Fran!

It depends on where your monitor is located. If you have a wall behind it, then the contrast is very high between the light that the monitor emits (6500K) and between what your wall emits (likely 0).
